Tom Jackson Productions has been helping with the development of the new artist program for OneVerse, a Bible translation sponsorship program. And this week several major tours are hitting the road to raise funds for the charity.

Rush of Fools, Stryper (25th Anniversary Tour), Glory Revealed Tour, Matt Papa and Erik Bledsoe, are among the roster of OneVerse artists on tour.

Glory Revealed with David Nasser, Mac Powell from Third Day, Aaron Shust and a collection of others, open their tour just outside of Nashville on Wednesday, August 19. Their goal is to fully fund an entire New Testament for the Zaramo people of Tanzania.

Rush of Fools will be speaking on behalf of the Rutura people of Southeast Asia; Erik Bledsoe and Matt Papa have partnered to translate the Bible for the Nugunu people; and Stryper will be representing Mwera of Tanzania.

Because Tom’s speaking schedule puts him in front of tens of thousands of artists at high profile industry events every year, he is able to recruit and train many artists for charities such as OneVerse, as well as help with the developmental stages of the artist programs.

To be a part of the OneVerse artist program, or to receive information about all of the charities Tom recommends, contact Tour Support.

Heifer International has just been added to the list of Tom Jackson Productions charity organizations.

Tom Jackson Productions offers strategic planning and program development to a number of charities. With help in artist acquisition, product development, support and expertise in the motivation of artists, as well as continued growth planning, Tom Jackson Productions is a highly valued partner for new programs such as Heifer International’s.

Heifer has received numerous awards and recognition for its work. Since its inception, it has helped more than 10 million families in 128 countries move toward greater self-reliance. Heifer’s Hope for the Future Campaign will also help one million more families receive animals and training by 2010.

Through the gifts of cows, goats and other livestock and extensive training, Heifer provides a multiplying source of food and income for families around the world.

Their strategy is to “pass on the gift.” As people share their animals’ offspring with others – along with their knowledge, resources, and skills – an expanding network of hope, dignity, and self-reliance is created.

Tom Jackson Productions looks forward to a long and fruitful relationship with this organization and the artists that choose to become a part of their artist program.

For more information on how your organization can obtain artist program help, visit our Tom Jackson Productions Charities page.

Along with numerous speakers, workshop leaders, musicians, and more, Tom was able to present two sessions to Hispanic artists about the importance of the live show.

Claudia Santiago and Tom Jackson interviewing in Espanol! for White Zoom Channel (Venezuela/USA)

His class, “The 4 Most Important Things…” gave artists the opportunity to learn the essentials of making an emotional connection with their audience. Tom also taught a session on “Making A Living” in the music business.

In addition, Tom presented information on one of the newest charities he works with, Latin America ChildCare. Just in the beginning stages of its artist program, LACC is looking forward to the possibility of partnering with some of the artists Tom met at the event.

While at Expolit, Tom was interviewed by several magazines and radio stations. One of those interviews was with Zapata Productions, Puerto Rico’s premier music promotion and production company.

The first DVD in Tom Jackson Productions’ new Live Music Makeover series was released today. “The Reins – Live Music Makeover” shows a hands-on rehearsal as Tom Jackson works through one of the band’s songs, ending with an astonishing final reveal in front of a live audience.

Most artists have said watching Tom work hands-on with an artist or band is the best way for them to learn. This teaching technique ties all of the Live Music Method concepts together in a very visual, easy-to-grasp style.

Tom Jackson Productions plans to continue producing the Live Music Makeover DVDs on a regular basis. They are currently working on the second DVD in the series, Turn Off the Stars. Projected date of release for Turn Off the Stars is Fall 2009.

Tom Jackson Productions just wrapped up their participation at the Gospel Music Association Week in Nashville, Tennessee. Running from Saturday, April 18 through Wednesday, April 22, this year’s event brought thousands of artists, agents, record companies, and other music professionals to participate in seminars, showcases, and networking.

Tom Jackson taught a unique Saturday night “Tell and Showcase” event for a room full of indie artists and industry folk. Beginning with some teaching time, Tom continued by bringing Christian rock band Rush of Fools to the stage. The 2007 ASCAP Song of the Year group performed several of their songs, which Tom Jackson then reworked, bringing out the “moments,” and creating an emotional connection with the audience.

Several indie artists in the room were then given the opportunity to showcase in front of an “American Idol” type panel of judges, which included Tom Jackson, president of Rhythm House Records Elliott Cunningham, and world artist Mary-Kathryn. The added twist to the critiques was Tom’s rearrangements of the songs and expert advice on visual fundamentals that improved each of the artists’ presentations.

Included in the five days of non-stop music at venues across Nashville was The Objective, an event sponsored by The eXtreme Tour. Tom taught an Objective workshop entitled “The 7 Deadly Sins of Artists,” and he moderated an industry panel. Then during an evening of showcases, Tom and two of his Live Music Producers, Amy Wolter and Lang Bliss, ‘wow’ed the crowd by doing a live music makeover with one of the participating bands, The J Walkers.

Lang Bliss has been added to the Tom Jackson Productions team of Live Music Producers. As the demand for Tom’s Live Music Methods increases, the need for certified, trained associates such as Lang continues to grow.

Long time friend and colleague of Tom Jackson, Lang Bliss is a Nashville-area drummer/producer/songwriter/arranger. He has worked with Alex Harvey, Michael W. Smith, Shaun Groves, Eric Silver (Donna Summer, Cyndi Lauper, Diamond Rio), Bob Halligan (Ceili Rain, Michael Bolton, Cher, Kathy Mattea, Rebecca St. James) and more.

In addition to Lang, the Tom Jackson Productions certified Live Music Producers team includes Ali Anderson in the Seattle area, Kevin Pauls in Toronto, plus Amy Wolter, also based out of the Nashville area.

Besides working one-on-one with artists, each of the Live Music Producers offer video critiques, speaking sessions and classes at seminars and workshops, and they occasionally help Tom Jackson with the numerous workshops and hands-on rehearsals he continues to do.

Live Music Producers analyze an artist’s live performance and provide specific and personal guidance on how to improve their skills and performance without changing the artist. Tom Jackson’s team re-arranges artists’ songs to work better live, create set lists that have maximum impact, build confidence and communication skills, and help artists with speaking to an audience.
